ROTARACT

Rotaract Club of R.V. College of Engineering is an institution based club in R.I. District -3190, sponsored by Rotary Bangalore South. The club takes pride in having a record of an annual 1000+ registrations every year and thus being the biggest Rotaract club in South East Asia and one of the largest in the world.  The club has successfully completed over 1400 projects till date. 

The Club organizes many events throughout the year, one of them being Paper Drive- a fun filled social event with 700+ volunteers who spread across the city to collect old newspapers and later sell it to paper vendors, and donating the same amount for the welfare of an Orphanage. The latest record was set by the club in 2020 with a massive collection of 15.68 tonnes of newspapers collected in just 9 hours. 

Akshara is a heart touching event which focuses on the literacy of young underprivileged students. Here the volunteers teach at several under privileged schools throughout Bangalore, imparting English, Mathematics as well as soft skill lessons like public speaking to the middle and high school students.

"There is no joy greater than that of saving a soul. The most valuable gift a man can give to another human being is the gift of life that can be given by donating blood."- with these beautiful words in mind and the aim of helping those in need, Rotaract Club of RVCE has a rich tradition of organising Blood Donation Camp in association with various other clubs of the college, having set a record with a massive blood count of 1109 units last time.

In Rotaract Club of RVCE, students embrace the various opportunities to learn and hone their skills while they build their network. As Rotaractors work together with zeal, passion and dedication towards the goal of bringing effective changes through a wide variety of events, they focus on the individual development of the members. By organising large events and projects, they inculcate leadership, management and vocational skills. Rotaractors recognise, practice and promote ethical standards in work culture as working together with individuals from across the world they recognise innate talent and come to terms with the fullest of their potential. Coming together to promote the idea of Rotary International, Rotaractors build a close network of people working towards the same goals of building goodwill to all. 

The zest, exciting and beautiful experiences while participating and organising events, learning and growing - is a crucial part of college life. Rotaract Club of RVCE ensures social services, at its best with most innovative and creative ways.
