MoU with Industry

Building on the success of a project on “Permeability & Filtration studies on Ceramic Filters” under the TIFAC scheme, the department has entered into an MoU with Ceramic Technological Institute - Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (CTI-BHEL).

Joint projects

General Electric has been involved in a joint project with the department on biomass gasification since 2011. At the college level the department has been involved in extending its core competencies to interdisciplinary projects in vacuum and flexible electronics, and composite materials. Collaboration with external colleges/universities is also documented. Central Power Research Institute and INM Technologies have guided M.Tech. students and employed interns from the department for curricular project work. These have resulted in research publications as well.

Training programs

Our faculty have trained personnel at Cipla on heat transfer, and personnel at Electronics and Radar Development Establishment (LRDE) on mass transfer as well.
