The department has qualified and experienced teaching faculty with specialization in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management, Reliability Engineering, Manufacturing Management and Production Engineering with highly skilled and self motivated technical staff. The state of the art Physical infrastructure has been established in order to promote a congenial academic environment to impart quality education. The faculty members are actively involved in consultancy assignments, and executing funded projects, Research and also conduct training programmes for students, faculty of other institutions and industrial executives in the core area of competence.

Students:

Department is encouraging students to participate in various events and activities to showcase their hidden talents and skills during techno- managerial, cultural, sports events and supported them to publish papers in conference and seminars at both national and international level.

Many students have brought laurels to the department by winning at state level project exhibition and competition for engineering students and event "Ergonomica" in Optima - A national symposium organized IEM dept. IIT Kharagpur. 

As part of the self study and final year projects departmemnt is motivationg students to under take projects on live Industrial Problems contributing to the improvement of Quality and Productivity with a cost conscious perspective through the application of Industrial Engineering and Management concepts. The Projects carried out in the past encompass problem situations from various sectors of the Industry viz., Product Manufacturing, Process, Service, Administrative and Research Establishments, etc.,

As a result of constant encouragement and motivation students are able to achieve the 1st and 2nd Best project award and Innovative Project awards given by department.

• Pre final year student selected as one among the 12 cadets of India to represented country as India student ambassador in an youth exchage program to be held in Vietnam between 28 November  to 08 December 2018.
• Pre final year student represnted India and won bronze medal in world university 10 Meters shooting compitition held at Malaysia during 16th - 18th March 2018.
