The M.Tech Programme in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) was established in the year 2004 with an intake of 18 students. M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering is a full time programme with well established infrastructure and State of the art computing facilities. Students are encouraged to work on interdisciplinary R&D, consultancy and entrepreneurial activities. The establishment of High Performance Computing lab and Storage Area Network lab has enabled students to work on Parallel programming, Distributed computing and Big data Analytics, etc. Students get hands-on experience with modern engineering tools relevant to their courses.
The M.Tech programme in CSE offers the privilege to students to pursue internship in well known companies such as Philips Innovation Campus, Nokia Networks, Vmware, Amadeus Software labs Pvt ltd, Intel Mobile Communication, Robert Bosch, Unifylabs, Seagate, etc. Students get enhanced placement opportunities in advanced ICT technologies such as mobile domain and Social Media, Mobility Analytics and Cloud (SMAC). The alumni are employed in various Public, Private and Educational sectors. Maximum salary offered by industries varies from 12 to 15 Lakhs per annum.
The M.Tech programme in CSE offers curriculum with focus on research areas and electives are on par with industry requirements.The programme offers core subjects such as Multicore Architecture, Advanced Database Management Systems, Big Data Analytics, Advanced Operating System, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Storage Area Network, Advanced Algorithms, etc. M.Tech students get an opportunity to involve in co-curricular activities by attending seminars, workshops, present papers in conferences, etc as well as exhibit their talent in extra-curricular activities leading to holistic development.
