Prediction of the Remaining Useful Llfe of Rolling Element Bearing Using Machine Leaming |
A systematic approach for predicting the remaining useful life of bearings |
The goal of the article is to improve the prediction of rolling bearing remaining useful life (RUL) by using a systematic approach that involves data acquisition, PCA-based feature extraction, and an exponential degradation model, validated with benchmark datasets, to enhance condition-based maintenance (CBM) practices. |
The outcome of the article is a validated methodology for predicting the remaining useful life (RUL) of rolling bearings, demonstrating improved accuracy and reliability in condition-based maintenance (CBM) through the integration of vibrational signal analysis, PCA-based feature extraction, and an exponential degradation model |
Effect of Core Thickness and Core Shapes on Modal Parameters of 3DP PLA Sandwich Structures - An Experimental and Numerical Investigations |
In the present study, the modal response parameters of 3D printed PLA sandwich structures with 3 different core heights (6mm, 8mm & 10mm) and 3 different core shapes (honeycomb, auxetic and rectangular) are investigated, both experimentally and numerically. |
Extract their modal parameters such as natural frequency, mode shapes and damping factor |
The obtained results show that the natural frequency was directly proportional to the core height, while it was inversely proportional to the damping ratio. Moreover, natural frequency (642.55 Hz) as minimum and damping ratio (0.039) as maximum were found at 6 mm of core height, Auxetic Core Shape. |
Finite Element Approach to Dynamic analysis of CFRP Tennis Racquet Frame |
This study analyzes the vibrational behavior of tennis racket frames made from aluminum and carbon fiber, using FE analysis to evaluate the effect on the coefficient of restitution (CoR). |
The goal of the study is to investigate and compare the vibrational behavior of tennis racket frames made from aluminum and carbon fiber to improve performance and reduce discomfort from vibrations. |
The isotropic model of tennis racket can exhibit dynamic properties especially in the out of-plane directions, while this can be improved with replacing orthotropic material (CFRP) in design process with greater confidence. |
