  • Head of Faculty-Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics) at Air Force Technical College, Jalahalli (West), Bangalore to supervise the conduct of technical training for freshly inducted engineers for conversion into Aeronautical Engineers before induction into field duties in Indian Air Force. Superannuated from IAF on 31 Oct 2016.

DGM (CS), HAL (LCA-Tejas Div), Bangalore - From Jan 2014 to Jan 2016

  • Preparation & Finalisation of Maintenance Contract for Squadron Operations for LCA at HAL, Bangalore.

  • Contract Management for Supply of 20 Tejas (LCA) aircraft along with Warranty Management.

  • Established technical training at HAL (LCA Division) for Tejas aircraft and ensured conduct of training for 200 personnel from IAF & HAL.

  • Auditing / technical vetting LCA publications using Air Transport Association (ATA-USA) Specifications i2200.

Chief Engineering Officer at Jaguar IAF Base – From Sep 2010 to May 2013

  • Responsible for Line & Base maintenance management of sixty aircraft (Jaguar & Mi-17 helicopters) & maintained more than 75% availability for operations.

  • Maintenance & upkeep of Jaguar aero engine Test bed and armaments for weapon platforms.

  • Provided leadership to 600 technical personnel to ensure effective and efficient execution of military aircraft operations from and out of mother base ensuring maintenance & flight safety.

Joint Director Engineering (Jaguar) at Air Headquarters – From 2004 to 2008

  • Project Management for Jaguar Aircraft Upgrade Programme worth 1500 Cr for avionic systems.

  • Planned & successfully executed two contracts worth 4000 Cr for Supply of new variant of Single & Twin Seater Jaguar aircraft and their induction into IAF.

  • Ensuring implementation of Flight & Maintenance Safety based recommendations of investigations of incident / accident.

  • Assessment & allocation of MRO (Maintenance Repair & Overhaul) Task for aircraft, aero engines and aircraft / engine accessories to HAL.

Chief Training Instructor (Jaguar) In IAF – From Aug 1993 to Aug 1995

  • Conducted technical training courses for aircrew & ground crew for Operator & Intermediate-Level training for Military aircraft (Jaguar and LCA-Tejas aircraft).

Senior Production Engineer (Testing) at D-Level Facility – From Aug 1995 - Aug 1999

  • Worked as Senior Production Engr of aero-engine testing facility for testing of British (Viper-Kiran ac), French (M53-P2-Mirage 2000 ac) and Russian (R-29 engine of MiG-23/27ac) aero engines.

  • Responsible towards meeting aero-engine production targets. Led a team of more than 100 technicians in aero engine test beds for meeting the annual task.

  • As Project Manager successfully completed in-house upgrade of vintage test bed systems of Viper-Rolls Royce and R-29 Russian aero engine test beds.

  • Hands-on experience for Line & Base Maintenance for Jaguar Aircraft, Led team of 250 technicians to carry out Operational Level maintenance of aircraft, also undertook Intermediate level maintenance of aero-engine.

  • Conducted planning and maintenance management for Western aircraft fleet i.e. Jaguar, Kiran, Boeing, Dornier & Gliders as Fleet Manager at Command HQs.

  • Conducted study on premature failure of aircraft tyres on Russian aircraft.

  • Conducted Quality Audit for Jaguar Fleet and aero engines of Western and Russian origin.
