Faculty Achievements - 2024

  • Dr. Jasmine K S participated as a guide and mentor for student participants in their Technology and Innovation Live Model Projects by the United Latino Students Association at WITFluence-2024, held on 26th September 2024, at Radisson Blu, Outer Ring Road, Bangalore.
  • Dr. Andhe Dharani, Dr. Deepika K, & Dr. Preethi N Patel received an Appreciation Award in recognition of their outstanding dedication, commitment, and invaluable contribution to the field of education at a joint event organized by JSW Steel Limited, Reach the Need, & RVCE at the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, RV College of Engineering on 17th September 2024.
  • Deepika K received a certification on IBM Skills Build on "Cloud Computing Fundamentals" by IBM Technology Corporation.
  • Deepika K received a certification on IBM Skills Build on "Journey to Cloud: Envisioning Your Solution" by IBM Technology Corporation.

  • Dr. Anupama Kumar & Dr. Andhe Dharani were awarded Best Project of the Year (Exhibition) by the Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology, IISc, Bangalore.
  • Dr. Andhe Dharani & Dr. Preethi N Patil were awarded Best Project of the Year (Seminar) by the Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology, IISc, Bangalore.
  • Dr. Preethi N Patil won the Second Prize for Best Research Article at Umagine Chennai, ICTACT, Govt. of Tamil Nadu on 25th April 2023.
  • Akash (1RV21MC007) and Harsha K S (1RV21MC041), guided by Dr. Andhe Dharani and co-guided by Dr. Preethi N. Patil, received sponsorship for a student project titled "AR Application to Visualize Biogas Plant" by KSCST on 24th April 2023, Bengaluru.
  • Ajith Kumar K (1RV21MC006) and Chandan S (1RV21MC028), guided by Dr. S. Anupama Kumar and co-guided by Dr. Andhe Dharani, received sponsorship for a student project titled "Design and Development of an Android-Based Classification Model for Arecanut Leaf Disease Detection Using Deep Learning Techniques" by KSCST on 24th April 2023, Bengaluru.
  • Deepika K won 1st Prize in Quiz at the 15th International Conference on Communication Systems & Networks (COMSNETS 2023).

Faculty Achievements - 2022

  • Dr. Renuka Prasad B won the 3rd Prize with a cash prize of Rs. 300/- in the Kannada Aashubhaashana event organized by the Cultural Activities Team (CAT), RVCE.
  • Dr. Deepika K won a Special Prize with a cash prize of Rs. 800/- in the Kannada Aashubhaashana event organized by the Cultural Activities Team (CAT), RVCE.

  9. Prof. Chandrani Chakravorty served as a reviewer for Indonesian Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Vol. 15, No. 3, September 2020. The reviewd papers are : i) Design and Simulation double Ku- band Vivaldi antenna ii )Detecting Face Mask using Eigenfaces and Vanilla Neural Networks.
  10. Prof. Chandrani Chakravorty served as reviewer for Indonesian Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (p-ISSN: 2502-4752, e-ISSN: 2502-4760) and reviewed following paper: I Content-Based Image Retrieval for Fabric Images: A Survey ii.Analysis of Parameters for Measuring Performance of Mobile Applications
  11. Prof. Chandrani Chakravorty contributed as reviewer at Indonesian Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (IJEECS). IJEECS, p-ISSN: 2502-4752, e-ISSN: 2502-4760 is the official publication of the Institute of Advanced Engineering and Science (IAES). This is a SCOPUS indexed Journal.
  12. Prof. Chandrani Chakravorty participated for the Guinness World Record event "Build a Face Recognition Application by Python" as a part of AI-For-India Event on 25th April 2021.

  18. Prof. Narasimha Swamy S reviewed a Paper titled "oT Based Interdigital Capacitance Sensing System for Damage Detection in CFRP-Concrete Structures", for IEEE Access, an Multidesciplinary Journal
  19. Mr. Narasimha Swamy Served as a reviewer for IEEE Access entitled "Optimization of Smart Contract Security in Internet of Things with Verification Standard Method".
  20. Mr. Narasimha Swamy S  served as a Reviewer for  IEEE International Conference on Electrical, Computer, Communications, and Mechatronics Engineering (ICECCME 2021) which will take place in Mauritius on 07-08 October 2021.

  2. Mrs. Sudha M, External research Scholar, successfully completed her final Doctoral thesis titled “Development of efficient fault tolerant methods and practices for cloud computing environment” in Defence Viva-Voce Examination  under the guidance of Dr.Usha J, Professor, Department of MCA, RVCE on 30th  September 2020
  3. Mrs. Deepika K successfully completed her final Doctoral thesis titled “Improvement of  Human Tracking  using Sensor Based System” in Defence Viva-Voce Examination  under the guidance of Dr.Usha J, Professor, Department of MCA, RVCE on 24th  September 2020

Dr. Jasmine K S, Mentor for  52 students of MCA for NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning) certification programme on the topic “Software Testing" conducted by By Prof. Rajib Mall ,Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Kharagpur. Course duration was January– March 2020, Full Term – 4Weeks Course.

  6. Dr. Ashwini K.B.Mentor for  41 students of MCA for NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning) certification programme on the topic “Software Testing" conducted by By Prof. Rajib Mall ,Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Kharagpur. Course duration was January– March 2020, Full Term – 4Weeks Course. 

  7. Jayasimha S R successfully completed his final Doctoral Viva-Voce Examination, thesis titled “Development of Energy Efficient Algorithms in Cloud Environment” under the guidance of Guide: Dr. Usha J, Professor, Department of MCA, Co-guide: Dr. Srivani S G, Assoc Prof, Department of EEE,  RVCE on 10th august 2020.

  8. Dr. Jasmine K S Received the award titled ‘ Most Innovative Professor’  Organized by Golden Aim Awards for excellence and leadership in Education, Mumbai
  9. Dr. Jasmine KS was honored by Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust (RSST) on 26​th January 2020, for receiving the  honour titled “100 Most dedicated professors -2019”, organized by World Education Congress, Mumbai on 4​th July  2019

  1. Dr. Mohanaradhya and Dr. Divya were honored by  R. V. College of Engineering, under ISTE RVCE chapter, during Teacher’s Day celebrations on 26th September 2019 for the completion of PhD.

  2. The faculty of MCA Department, RVCE won the following prizes in RV-ISTE Teachers Day Competition 2019.
