Our NCC officer , Capt.(Dr). Mahendra Kumar underwent 3 months pre-commission military training program at Officers Training Academy, Kamptee, Nagpur from 28th Nov 2011 - 25th Feb 2012. Stood 1st for Kar & Goa directorate among all the officers' cadets in the camp, passed the course with "A" Grade and been commissioned as a Associate NCC officer with Lieutenant rank.

Completed Refresher's course at Officer Training Academy, Kamptee, Nagpur in Oct 2019. Promoted to the rank of Captain in May 2020.

He was awarded Young Scientist Award 2010-11 from Vision Group of Science and Technology, Karnataka.
