The department has a tradition of organizing seminars, workshops and Technical talks for both students and faculty from time to time. These are regularly arranged for the benefit of our students from eminent personalities from industries and R&D centre. This will help students to know about the latest developments in technology and allied fields. This will cover a wide range of topics from computer applications to power electronics to embedded system applications.

Current topics are chosen as themes. Leading experts from industry and other academic institutions are invited for lectures. Manyfaculties from various institutions attend as delegates.

These events were very successful and have got lot of appreciation from various quarters. Following is the list of workshops conducted by the department:

1. Four day training program on “Data Acquisition & Embedded Programming for Control of Converters for Renewable Energy Systems”, was organized by the EEE department, RVCE in association with Electrono Solution Pvt. Ltd. during 15^th – 18^th October 2015. 
2. One day training program on “Research Trends in Industrial Automation, Renewable Energy Systems & Smart grid Initiatives” was organized by the EEE department, RVCE on 14^th October 2015.
3.   A Two day hand on workshop titled “Automation using PLC & SCADA” was conducted by IEEE student branch- RVCE during 12^th-13^th September 2015.
4. Organized one week National level workshop on "Innovation in Renewable Energy technologies and its Integration with Smart Grid" under TEQIP-CoE 1.2.1 from 22nd to 27th June 2015.
5. Organized National Level Conference on "Research challenges in Power, Control, Communication and Instrumentation leading to Sustainable Technologies" under TEQIP 1.2 from 24th-25th April 2015.
6. Organied Workshop on "Advanced Training on Solar Photo Voltaic Technology" Under MNRE from 21st-24th 2015.
