• Department has MOUs with  HUDCO, Karnataka State Habitat Centre, Bangalore, EHS and R&D, KPMG signed to carry out Research and Development in the field of structural masonry and Documentation Programs, Green building materials, Development of Sustainable Civil Engineering Systems and sustainable water utilization respectively.

• Mr. K.P.Narasimhamurthy, Proprietor - Team 2 and Mr. L. R Manjunath, Vice Chairman, ICI, Karnataka are the industry representatives for the present Board of Studies of the Department.The department is conducting customized training programs for the engineers of PWD&IWT Department, Government of Karnataka.
• Department offers consultancy services like Material testing for the preparation of Road project reports of national highways and state highways in the states of karnataka , Tamilnadu, Andhrapradesh ,Telangana and Maharastra for various consultant organizations. Pavement evaluation surveys like Benklemen beam, axle load survey are being Carried out.Department is also Associated with the project under PMGSY on training citizen monitoring and awareness program.
• Department is active in organising annual event concrete fair  to the students of UG and PG in civil engineering across the state.Over 500 students participated from thirty engineering colleges during 28th-29th october 2014.Various competitions to students in concrete were held.Students also get opportunity to interact with professionals from industries.
• Dr.Radhakrishna is involved in the interdisciplinary consultancy with Department of computer science  worth over 9 lakhs from shrusti consultants.
