M. Tech. in Master of Engineering Management program is aimed at producing expertise of Engineering managers who will play a significant role in shaping the development of industries and organizations. These engineers need to take strategic and operational decisions to fulfill production, services, commercial and social needs based on Technological advances.

The program is aimed at providing in depth knowledge and skills in the areas of management science, project management, decision and risk analysis, information technology, finance, lean manufacturing, optimization, supply chain management, simulation & Statistic modeling and accounting, systems analysis, and organizational behavior and various other functional areas of management. To be an effective manager the students are required to gain experience through real world group design projects and case studies. All the students are trained in cutting edge technology in rapid prototyping center established in the department.

Eligibility: Admission to the Master of Engineering Management Course shall be open to all the candidates who have passed B.E. / B.Tech./AMIE Examinations in any discipline of Engineering by securing not less than 50% marks in aggregate as eligible. However in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/Group 1 aggregate percentage of marks in qualifying examination should not be less than 45%. The admissions are through central counseling on the basis of merit in PGCET or GATE. GATE qualified candidates are eligible for scholarship through AICTE. A few seats are also available for sponsored quota and Management quota or any other examinations recognized as equivalent thereto.

Infrastructure: The Department has dedicated Laboratories equipped with soft wares like Arena, promodel, ERP soft wares( Sixth Sense & Offbiz ), Excel Solver , Systat , SQCPC & DOE software suites. Students are also encouraged to work in Ergonomics, Manufacturing, Quality assurance and reliability laboratories.

Areas of Research: Students are encouraged to participate in various areas of Engineering Management, Supply chain and logistics, Operation management and Quality management.

Placement opportunity: Post graduates are absorbed in private sector, public sector, corporate like IBM, Mahindra, Nestle, Infosys, TCS and many more. Industry and Research internships are also encouraged and assistance is provided.
