The students passed out during Jul-Aug '12 may collect the degree certificates from ExamSection on working days till 10.06.13 after presenting ID proof. Library Services

Book Bank

Selected books are made available for issue for a period of one semester, to the students belonging to SC/ST. Eligible students may apply for books from the special collection as per the schedule announced by the Library.

Circulation Rules

  • General books are issued to all eligible members as per their entitlements.
  • For the rules for replacement of lost book kindly contact the Librarian.
  • Loss of book must be reported immediately. Late fees, if any, will be charged till the loss of book is reported. If the original library book is returned after reporting it lost, the fine will be calculated till the date of its return.
  • A book can have maximum 2 claims.
  • The borrowing facility can be withdrawn or restricted in case of misbehavior or misuse of the library.
  • No book in damaged condition will be accepted from the reader. Mutilated or spoiled books will have to be replaced by the borrower.
  • The readers should check the book thoroughly for missing pages, chapters, pictures etc., while borrowing the book.
  • Books are reissued only if there are no claims.

Issue/Return Timing

  • General books - Monday-Friday: 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM and on Saturdays 8.30 A.M. to 2.00 PM
  • Reference books, bound volumes of journals, loose issues are issued from 3.00 PM to 5.00 PM

Inter-Library Loan

The Central Library offers inter-library loan service to its users for the books not available in the rvce library by procuring them from Developing Library Network (DELNET) The rvce Library, in turn, also lends its resources to the libraries of other government and academic institutions.


Reference Service

The Library maintains a separate reference collection consisting of encyclopedias, dictionaries, directories, handbooks, atlases, etc. Reference books are marked  “R” 
The Reference Section facility is extended to the students, staff and faculty of the Institute from 9.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. on all working days.
Readers may approach the Reference Desk for information or any assistance in the use of the Library Collections and Services.


Users Awareness Programmes

The library takes an active part in the orientation programme organized by the institute for the benefit of new students in the beginning of academic year.

Any user desiring to know more about library resources and service or to learn how to use a particular resource like OPAC, e-journals, databases etc. should contact Incharge, Reference service.


Photocopying

  • The Central Library offers photocopying service to all its members, walk-in users and others.
  • Private photocopying  vendor operating from with in the library premises provide copies to all other users at the follwing rates :

The charges for are: Rs. 0.50 (A4) / Rs. 1.00 (A3/B4) per page.

The vendor operates from the staircase niche attached to the library from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm on weekdays.
