Chemical engineering students have been placed in core companies such as ABB, Akzo Nobel, Biocon, Coca Cola, Desmet Ballestra, Essar Group, Gujarat Gas, HUL, Honeywell, ITC ABD, ITC Paper, ITC Agri, ITC Food, JSW, Jubilant, Kiwi Foods, L&T ECC, L&T Valdel, MCF, Michelin, Nauvata, Nestle, ONGC, Perkins Elmer, Praxair, Reliance Industries, Saint Gobain, TCE, UB, Vedanta and Group of Companies, Yokogawa, and Zuari Chemicals and Cements. The department students have also been recruited by information technology companies such as Infosys, Accenture, CTS, Wipro, Fidelity, Quest, Sapient and Tech Mahindra.
The department has placed significantly more students over the three year period 2015 - 2013 with 30, 23, 25 out of 34, 43, 36 eligible students availing on-campus placement process, respectively; and has seen some improvement in the number of students opting for higher studies with 3 [so far], 16, and 13 in 2015, 2014 and 2013. One of our alumni of the 2014 batch chose to start a private enterprise.
Increasing emphasis on alternative and renewable energy sources, environmental awareness and waste management has opened new avenues for chemical engineering graduates with skillsets in these areas. The curriculum of the RVCE Chemical Engineering graduates is designed to meet such requirements.
