Consultancy Projects:
Production of biodiesel from various oil yielding plant seeds, sponsored by Karnataka State Biodiesel Board. Currently working as a co-investigator in this project. The project is mainly aims at collection of the oil yielding seeds from the local farmers (Ramanagara District farmers), encouraging them to grow more and more these plants by conducting awareness camps and workshops. The collected seeds will be subjected to extract the oil and then undergoing the product to transesterification to convert it to the biodiesel. The R&D work involves the more and more percentage of blending the biodiesel into the regular diesel and its efficiency studies. Modification of the transesterification is also one of the aims to reduce the base substitution reaction to biological reaction. The project started since June 2012 and is continuing successfully. TEN awareness programs and TWO training programs for the farmers have been conducted by me, till July 2013 in Magadi Taluk and Kanakapura Taluks of Ramanagara district. This project is a continuous project for the life time of the college / institution. (Project total cost Rs. 46.00 Lakhs including revolving funds till 2017 and attain the self financing status by selling the oil, cake and biodiesel).

Funded Projects:
As a co-investigator involved in a research project on ‘Biological control of red rot disease of sugarcane funded by Dept. of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, since June 2009 for 3 years. Project successfully completed. (Project total cost Rs. 10,27 Lakhs).

A total of 488 registrations happened across India and 2 students from abroad. The participants involved, Students, Research Scholars, Faculty, Scientists, Medical Doctors and others. The webinar mainly focused on understanding and analysis of the biological data. Dr. K.N. Subramanya, Principal has delivered talk on Statistical Distributions and interacted with the participants.
